De-Wayne is a hands-on and versatile leader, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience spanning Lifecycle Maintenance, Heavy Fabrication, Naval Architecture, and the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects. His expertise extends across Australia, Africa, and Indonesia, with a proven track record in hydro and coal-fired power generation, ports, heavy and light rail, as well as mining processing and infrastructure. Throughout his career, De-Wayne has consistently to achieve successful outcomes in the most complex environments.

De-Wayne’s professional journey began with humble origins, dedicating ten years as a Maintenance Fitter & Machinist and Ships Diver in the Royal Australian Navy’s Marine Engineering division. During this time, he attained a range of qualifications, including those in explosives, demolitions, and underwater cutting and welding, as well as various welding certifications.
Following his service, De-Wayne transitioned into the private sector, working in heavy fabrication while concurrently pursuing Advanced Diplomas in Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. His dedication to continued learning and professional development saw him earn a Master’s in Project Management, with a major in Project Risk Management, from the University of Sydney.  Additionally, he holds a Master’s of Business, majoring in Operational Excellence, along with an Executive Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma from the University of New South Wales, Australian Graduate School of Management  ( AGSM ).
